Community Involvement

Made in Henderson County School Tours We partner with the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development’s "Made in Henderson County" program to welcome groups of middle and/or high school students to tour our facility. They spend a few hours learning the ins and outs of a machine shop and enjoying direct access to our team members. This allows them to peer into a world they might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience and assists them in making informed choices about the career path they desire to take.

The Community Kitchen Periodically team members and their families are given the opportunity on a volunteer basis to serve others through preparing and serving a meal at The Community Kitchen in Canton, NC

Christmas Care Projects Daystar’s team members and their families are given the opportunity to participate in a Christmas Care Project. Each year, a project is carefully selected and might include providing Christmas gifts for children in our own county through a local organization, packing shoe boxes for Samaritan’s Purse, providing food and gifts for families, etc.
